Children's Museum

Last Tuesday Crispian, Myles, and I went to the Pittsburgh Children's Museum. It was the same day of the All-Star Game, and like so many other places in Pittsburgh, had a special baseball-themed activity. Crispian got to take apart a baseball!!!

After the outermost layer of leather comes a layer of white string. Inside of that is a seemingly endless layer of grey yarn. Once he got through that, he got to the center of the Tootsie Pop--a small rubber ball.

I tried to interest Myles in this activity, but he didn't care at all. He found cars and race tracks! Add to this equation gravity, and with a two-and-a-hlaf year old boy you have hours of fun!

I suspect that my posts in the coming week will be a lot of this kind of stuff because Pittsburgh is having something of a heat wave, so it will be the return of the Cheap Air-Conditioned Field Trips!!! Public transportation, museums, library.......if it's out there, we're going!
