Ah, the beach
Yes, when we got there it was wonderful, even if it was cooler than normal.
One afternoon Crispian found a large hole other children had dug earlier that day. When the tide was low in the morning, no doubt the hole was far from the shoreline. But as the tide rose, the waves came closer and closer to it. That is when Crispian decided to lay down in the hole and wait.
Sometimes the ocean only came close
and sometimes...well, this was what he was waiting for.
Myles was, of course, mostly content to dig and build.
