Back in the U.S.A.

Greetings from Pittsburgh! I can't believe how beat and yet still awake I am. When we were in the Chincago airport waiting to board our final flight at 4 pm Central, one of the ticket agents commented that Myles seemed a little out of it. I resisted any tempatation to relate to her the problems with having a drug-addicted two year old, and instead told her that we had woken up that morning in Hong Kong, and here we are now.
It was definitely a sad a painful parting. We probably over the North Pole before Myles realized that no matter how often he asked or cried, we weren't going to get off the plane right then and go back to Daddy's house. In fact, when he was resigned to the fate of staying on the plane, he said, "When we get off this plane we will be in Chiacgo."
I told him, yes, that was right.
He blinked his red-rimmed eyes a few times and said, "And the signs aren't in Chinese there."
