Better than TV

I mentioned before that Myles was easily (and surprisingly) entertained with watching the Hong Kong traffic while we were waiting at the Visa office. Same holds true here in Shekou. Randy told me last night that it is a seven-minute walk from our house to Starbucks. I had to laugh because I don't think we've ever done it in less than thirty. Every few paces he gets mesmerized by the constant flow of buses and mini-buses, taxis, the trucks, and, of course, the variety of two- and three-wheeled vehicles. The way they weave and nearly collide, the horns honking....who needs Thomas the Tank Engine when you have this?
Sometimes we will sit for an entire hour or so on a retaining wall under a shady tree. He will just watch the traffic and comment occassionally. For my part I am thisclose to breaking 50,000 in QuadraPop, I finished the Liar's Club, and I am well into This Side of Paradise (I'll take Books You Should Have Read in College but Didn't Because They Were Written by Dead White Guys for $400, Alex).
