Un-Happy Feet

Myles' feet talk.
This isn't that novel. Lots of children act out things with talking fingers (my preference when I pre-school aged--every finger had a distinct personality even!) or talking feet. But my sweet, sweet, occasionally polite without prompting son has some aggressive feet. They apparently like to fight. His feet have little nice to say to one another, and on those occasions that they do talk, it usually devolves very quickly into physical confrontations.
No, I have no idea who wins.
And the feet don't just take out their aggression on each other. Tonight on the way home from Giant Eagle, one of his shoes ended up on the floor under him. When we got home, I asked him what happened as I put his show back on.
"My feet were talking," he began.
Okay.
"And it said, 'No shoe!' And the shoe popped off."
His "No shoe" was spoken in a deeper, gravelly, angry voice than his own. Imagine Tom Waits ready to throw something. It was also punctuated with the swift slamming movements of a clearly angry foot.
I'm just glad his feet haven't gotten mad at me yet.
Wait, how'd I get sucked into this?
