Real Easter pictures

Once upon a time, a couple from Georgia moved to Kane, PA, to work. After they survived what they already thought was a long and tough winter (which it was), they were surprised to hear that snow was in the forecast coming into Easter weekend. Could it be? I told them that if it snowed on Easter it would snow up until Mother's Day. Which, again, it did. Four inches that year. Needless to say, the minute they were offered jobs in North Carolina they were so out of there.
My Easters growing up were cold and wet or cold and snowy. In 1987 we were exposed to the "real" Easters they had on TV--warm and sunny, pink dresses not covered up with winter coats. Pretty shoes, not boots.
This year was so strange---for Kane. No rain, no snow. Sunshine. Temperatures in the 60s. I hadn't bought Myles' Easter outfit until the day before. I confidently chose lightweight pants and short sleeves. No heavy sweaters, no boots. I could even have put sandals on him, if I had bought them already. Other kids at church were wearing sandals, and no one tsked tsked.
So here is Myles before Mass with his basket (clutching that *@*!@#! M&M egg).
