Home again, home again Jiggity Jog

Greeting from my house. It feels good to be wearing clothes and to be in my own house.
Everything went well with the surgery and I am only a little sore and tired right now. I'll wait a few days before I get the Mylinator because I really don't think I can handle him jumping on my belly for a few days yet. So in the meantime I will be planted on my couch watching movies and eating vegetarian pot pies.
Crispian, ever the thoughtful boy, brought me roses and a snuggle toy to keep me company last night. So sweet.
How much do I love the West Penn Hospital? Oh let me count the ways. If you miss a meal, either because of a late check-in or a late addition to full meals, you can call down to the dietary services and order food. Yeah, can you believe it? I wasn't allowed full food until after 6:30 so I called down and ordered a grilled cheese and some fruit. Twenty minutes later, it was there.
And, since this is Pittsburgh, this morning I got a communion call, which they do daily at this hospital, and a free rosary offered to me. I passed on the free rosary since I already had mine with me. Not too long after that I got a visit from and annointed by Fr. Sorenson doing his rounds. I recognized his voice from a Mass or two I have attended at St. Jospeh's parish where he resides and says some of the weekend Masses. I am pretty sure that when I was at Women's Hospital in Jackson, they didn't have communion calls or a priest visit at all. They probably would have summoned me a priest if I were dying, but other than that...zilch. Man, do I love Pittsburgh.

They do communion calls at Westmoreland Hosp.(or they DID--mom had them when she broke ankle about 10 years ago...)
now that they are part of Excele...who knows...???

Vicodin is good food!
