Missed Connections

There are some people that read Missed Connections on Craig's List, waiting for someone to post about them. There are others, like my sister Megs, who read them frequently to catch up on some of the dramas that unfold there.
So I was surprised when Megs called me during her lunchtime to tell me that I was a missed connection. I laughed. What? Huh?
Fortunately, it wasn't so sensational that I would be embarrassed to post about it. It was actually from DUQ about the interview Myles and I gave over the weekend at the museum.
That reminded of one potential Missed Connection dramedy that unfolded a couple of months ago. There was a posting, "Ms. Ambrose, I never got to repay you for that night so many years ago." By the timemy sister Kate got into work the morning that was up, her phone was ringing because a bunch of her friends had read it and wanted to know if it were about her. (Funny, no one ever thought it could be me-hahahaha) So Kate replied to the posting, asking for a clue, one word even, to help distiguish the true Ms. Ambrose. A few days later she shared the reponse, which she said ruled all of us out, with my sister Megs and I.
"Scout."
"Scout?" Megs and I asked back.
"Yeah, and unless there is something either of you want to tell me, the response came from a woman."
Yup, end of story.
