In case you haven't noticed
There are two things I can't get enough of.
1)Kissing and "shnuggling" my son
2)Watching, reading, talking about and now blogging about the Steelers.
If you have read this blog for any length of time, like since last year, you would already know this. At my high school reunion last summer, one of my friends said they loved the blog but skip over all the Steelers stuff.
It is a family failing.
It is also a geographical failing.
A few years ago, my cousin Chopper was teaching at Oregon State. His mother and my mom's twin went out to visit him for a few weeks. My aunts were to meet him on campus one afternoon. They arrived at the school without a problem but couldn't find his building. My aunt Sue said to my aunt Sis something about how could it be so difficult to find this particular building on this smallish campus. It wasn't like they were at Penn State, where entire departments are spread across acres. A man walking by them stopped and then turned around.
"Did you just say Penn State?"
This man was walking across campus to meet his wife who also taught at Oregon State. Her previous job was at Penn State where she met her husband. He started talking to Sue and Sis, and the conversation rolled around to football, first the Nittany Lions and then, of course, the Steelers.
After not-too-long my aunts and this guy were joined by his wife. She listened politely for a moment before there was a break where she could be introduced. She guessed that Sue and Sis were from Western Pennsylvania, like her husband (and not her), because, "Whenever complete strangers from Western Pennsylvania get together, all they want to talk about is football."
