He's got that ambition, baby.....
Right now, if you asked Myles what he wanted to be when he grew up, and if he had a reasonably developed concept of what that means, he would probably say cashier at Giant Eagle.
Today, with it being another school holiday (and not a work holiday for my sister), I took the boys to the Center for Creative Play. Myles' usual stops have been, almost since our first visit there, the art room (I'm saving those pictures for a day when I need a gratuitous art post) and the Thomas the Tank Engine table. Lately he has been fascinated with the little grocery room.
Myles likes to pretend to shop or be the grocer. He really loves being the grocer. He and Crispian took turns on both sides of that relationship today.

I really think Myles would be so happy right now if you gave him a peak at his adult life and he is wearing the apron and ballcap of the Giant Eagle employee.
We also had a surprise visit from Myles' older sister Katie. She had driven down to take a friend to the airport, so I bribed-- I mean, persuaded-- her with offers of free dinner and new shoes to come visit us. He was so excited to show her all the toys and play areas.
"Tome on, Tatie!" he would say as he grabbed her hand and dragged her somewhere else. He played Giant Eagle (again) and fixed her dinner, and played trucks and blocks and all kinds of other things.
Katie was amazed by the entire place. On initial visits it certainly is amazing in that why-didn't-they-have-these-when-I-was-growing-up way. I kept hinting to her that she was more than welcome to come down ANY time, and she and Myles could go there on our membership and play, and I could......well, I said things like pedicure and eyebrow waxing, but you know the reality will be blog, read blogs, and nap.
