Days of Wine and Chocolate
OOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHH MY.
Saturday was the annual Wine and Chocolate Tasting at Flickerwood Wine Cellars (here's last year's report). Of course, we think that this sort of thing is an event the whole family can enjoy, so Kate and I were both accompanied by our children (and Kate by her friend John, too).
Sue completely outdid herself this year. These two tables in the picture (one cafeteria-sized and one card-table-sized) were completely covered with chocolate goodies, nearly all of them baked by Sue herself.

The featured wines for the tasting were a dry white (And I can't remember which one! shame on me!), Rose Bud Red, Niagara, and Sweet Angel Red (the label I understand needs to be updated AGAIN), and Cherish. All were quite good with the chocolately goodness, especially the Rose Bud Red. Cherish I also really enjoyed with the chocolates, which was good because I normally do not like Cherry flavored anything. With the chocolates, it was merely a complimentary sweetness.
I was also very excited that Leon Millot is back! I bought several bottles. This has got to be my favorite wine to drink with chocolate chip cookies!
And as nothing brings a family together like alcohol

Myles even helped me shop for my wines (he is ALWAYS a good helper). He told me that the Magnum bottles were "Too Big." I hated to agree with him.
