Candlemas

I love that word. I like to use it conversation. I feel like a character in a George Eliot or Thomas Hardy novel, waiting until after Candlemas to do something or other rather than that, you know, event this weekend.
Anyway, LC has her post up about the Presentation of the Lord, aka Candlemas, which gives a good overview of the history of the Feast and some of the traditions that have become associated with it, including Groundhog's Day!
