Xian diocese update

South China Morning Post is reporting Wednesday am that 11 have been arrested in connection with the Xian diocese nuns beaten in a property-dispute protest. The city party-affiliated newspaper was quoted as saying the police investigated immediately after the incident (contrary to some nuns and priests who in this SCMP article say that 2 were detained immediately and released), and criminally detained 11 suspects, charges pending positive identification. Also, the SCMP quotes this same paper, the Xian Winbao, as saying that the Xian Zhaosheng Investment Co hired the thugs.
There's more to the article, mostly quotes from some associated with the nuns ranging from releif that there will be arrests to questions about whether there will be real justice, similar to the kind of stuff you would seen in a article even in the US.
