Bun in the oven

No, not me. But this story was in my hometown paper, and I thought you would find part of it cute/weird/amazing. It was written to celebrate the 100th birthday of a local resident.

Clara Marie Johnson was born Dec. 2, 1905 in East Kane. Weighing no more than two pounds, she was baptized two days later because she was not expected to live.
“They put me in the oven,” Clara said. The small baby girl was wrapped in cotton and placed in a bread pan before being kept in the oven.
“They didn't have incubators back then,” her son Don Paup said.
