1) If there is anyone in active politics today that understands intimately the ineffectiveness of torture to gain anything beyond the satisfaction of the perversions of the captors it would be Senator McCain.

I think I’d rather be in China where at least we don’t have to deal with the F$#&*ing hypocrisy. In fact the general consensus here, among Europeans and Americans, is that we have far greater freedom in China than in the US at the moment. That is scary.
If McCain and / or the Democrats can’t turn this into a path to the Whitehouse, they probably don’t deserve it and we probably deserve what we get.
