Showing art in your home (full of kids)
I have a feeling someday I will have to write a guide for art ownership and raising children. No less than one chapter, I fear, will be devoted to home-conservation versus professional restoration of oil paintings suffering from common household mishaps. Like flying peanut butter and jelly. Or wet Cheerios.
Fortunately, we haven't gotten there yet; my very few oil paintings remain unstained. My works on paper are safe behind the glass or plastic sheets in their frames.
However, for anyone that may wonder what you do when you are as equally proud of your child's projects as you are of your collection, well, it is needless to say which comes to the front.

Yup, "Pumpkin Party with Triangles" and a trio of Myles-painted pumpkins trump Martin Mull.
