One more thing on Opus Dei

National Catholic Reporter printed a review of John Allen's upcoming book on Opus Dei. In the book a few things are made clear immediately to Allen's readers:

Anyone writing about Opus Dei is obligated to disclose any ties with “the Work,” as its members call it. John Allen states that neither he nor any member of his family is, or ever has been, a member; and that he has no financial relationship with the organization. Five days in an Opus Dei residence in Barcelona following the official “plan of life” strengthened Mr. Allen’s conviction that he was “utterly unsuitable for membership” in the Work.

Okay, if John Allen is "utterly unsuitable for membership," what hope would that leave any of the rest of us? I think maybe we need another Prelature, this one for those of us who invented slacking. Can my messy house be given up to God? Can the hours I would rather spend watching a late-night mind-numbing Bridezilla marathon on WE count for something? What about endless blog reading? Most of those I read are religious....does that count?
Someone please give me the cool yet still religious sounding Latin for the Opposite of Opus Dei? Cessatio Dei?
