WYD-12 years after, and another WYD
The Rubberboots Girl had a follow-up post about her experiences at World Youth Day in Denver 12 years ago compared to Cologne. Good stuff. Brave girl, that one. Anytime I even write a persoanl/religious post, I am tempted to delete it, but then I remember that no one reads this anyway :-) (By the way, hello stranger from Miami that reads this!)
And she says some nice things about me (blush). And a few comments about her petitions--we really tried to incorporate a lot of personal elements of Susan and Monty's life, so there are a lot of references to the military and families that live apart. We also wanted to incorporate some of the liturgy in them, hence the reference to one of Susan's favorite hymns sung at the beginning of the service, "Here I Am Lord" and the reading from Isaiah that in a funny coincidence I also posted about this week.
