Some local fun with fund-raising for Katrina
So WDVE, THE local clasisc rock station, is having a Pay for Play Saturday with Scott Paulsen DJ-ing (not to be confused with sometime reader sp). For a minimum bid of $25, they will play ANYTHING you request.
On her way over here, Megan said they played CopaCabana and the Carpenter's Close to You. When she got here they played The Pitt Fight Song. Just now they finished playing Summertime with DJ Jazzy Jeff and the Fresh Prince for $100. For teh rest of the day they have declared that any hip-hop song will be $100.
Right now they have accepted $1000 from Shaw Rose Construction Company to play Hotel California.
I am thinking about calling in and requesting something ridiculous. Maybe some Prince.
