Pulled from the Comments of an Open book post that would be a joke only some of my friends would get
Apparently, TLC is going to make a US version of the BBC's reality series The Monestary. It will be interesting to see what happens and what monastery they choose. Open Book had this post.
Of course, Open Book readers are always full of Good Ideas, and two of the comments stuck out to me:
Gen X Revert recommended St. Vincent Archabbey, writing "The St. Vincent Archabbey in Latrobe, PA would be a nice location. It is big enough to have a variety of monks "featured" and I am sure they have a diverse personality range in the monastery, which I am sure would be good for tv purposes."
This was followed by commenter Mrs. Darwin writing, "Maybe they'll put Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie in a monastery for six weeks and see what kind of crazy hijinks ensue when wealth and privilege meet obedience, chastity and poverty!"
And I ask you that would know, wouldn't that just be a reality series about freshman year at St. Vincent? Or maybe Steeler Training Camp!
