I almost feel like one of those Catholic Mom blogers (ahem!)

On Sunday when we were in Kane, after Mass Myles and I stuck around and talked to Father Phil for a few minutes. Myles loves Father Phil, to the point that when I think we are going to see him outside of my mother's church, like at a ballgame a few months back, he started to chant excitedly, "Father Phil. Father Phil, Father Phil....Daddy Phil?"
So there we were, talking to Father, Myles admiring his green and gold vestments. Suddenly Myles looks up to the enormous crucifix that hangs above the altar (you can see the bottom of it at the top center of this picture), points to the Corpus and tells Father, "That's Jesus."
Yup, totally unprompted, out-of-the-blue, making sure Father knows Myles knows what is up in this place.
I totally felt like one of those real Catholic Mom bloggers, you know, the ones that I measure my unsuccesses by....

Reminds me of a cute story from a few years back. My friend JoAnna was in the back of St. James with her then 3-year old son. There is a gorgeous statue back there - I'm not sure if you've seen it? JoAnna picked up her son, and they were talking about it.

JoAnna: "Who is that?" (pointing to Baby Jesus)

Son (whose name escapes me at the moment): BABY JESUS!!!!!!!!!!

JoAnna: "What's he doing?"

Son: HANGING OUT WITH HIS MOMMA!!!!

Imagine all of that with a sweet KY drawl, and you'll understand :)
