Center for Creative Play
It is in a converted factory, so you can imagine a wide-open, natural-light filled high-bay area full of toys and different play-theme areas. It is really a great time.
We were there for a little more than three hours today. Of course, almost two hours of it Myles dedicated to one specific play area---the trains.

When this happens, I sometimes wish we would have just gone to Barnes and Noble because at least there I can drink Starbucks there until I get sick. Also at B&N the table is already set up and all the pieces are glued down, so sometimes I don't also have to "play trains Mama" and might actually get to read something. Anyway, I did convince him to go into the art room to paint and draw. Before the train obsession, painting was his primary compulsion at CFCP. It's where he painted this as well as several other masterpieces that are gracing the homes of family members. He painted a little today, but focused more on drawing. I asked him what this picture was, and he pointed out that he was adding more brown to it because it was a picture of Annie and Clarabel.
Who? you ask. Why, Annie and Clarabel, Thomas' coaches when he is running his own branch line.
Even when it is not about trains it is about trains.
