Whapster Matthew is a Cherd

A few months ago, my now 18-year-old step-daughter Katie and I created a new highly descriptive word. We were on our way from the Clarion area to Pittsburgh to meet Randy at the airport. We stopped at the Giant Eagle in Fox Chapel to get some groceries. Katie was completely blown away by the cheese section. Rather than just a single cooler or commercial refridgerator, the cheese department could almost be measured in fractions of an acre. Salivating, she skipped and danced through the department, a whole new world opening up to her. Remember, she lives in the Middle of Nowhere. The grocery store nearest her only sells cheese that is yellow and pre-sliced.
We had bought some cheese to take home and also to snack on in the car. At one point, Katie had a piece of our snacking sheese in her hand and she said, "This little piece of cheese makes me soooooo happy."
Thus the birth of a new word, the Cherd. It sounds gross, but a cherd is basically a Cheese Nerd. It is a high compliment in the world of an 18-year-old who watches Napoleon Dynamite daily. I Heart Cherds.
So Whapster Matthew posted a Prayer of Thanksgiving to our Lord celebrating that second most divine creation, Cheese. Total Cherd.
