This and I am done with hs reunion for another 5 years

Even though I had no encounter with Stick up Her You Know Where, I DID get to see Mr. Likely to succeed. He is now running for school board in suburban Philly, and Tonia did correct my referring to him as Main Line because he is on the wrong side of the river. Whatever--I'm from Bucks County (where haven't I been from?)--MainLine, River--it's all Montgomery County to me, pretty scenes and cute towns on the way to King of Prussia :-). Just in case he was breaking any campaign rules, I photographed him talking to a teacher from a neighboring school district. I can use this later (insert evil B-movie laugh).
Anyway, it was interesting to see him, though when we talked it was late and I was starting to fade and I was worried about Myles staying the night with his older brother (not worried about Devin and Ashley's competence but Myles' acceptance of a mommy-less night). I barely remembered to brag about anything I have done. When he asked about my sister that is closest to me in age, I did of course bring up that she had just completed her ninth or tenth season with the Pittsburgh Opera. That always floors people. Not that they don't know that she is extremely talented, but I think people consider professional Opera Singer and Ballet Dancers and Actors as not necessarily exotic but always being from Somewhere Else, or at least Not Kane.
I lied a little and said I was a semi-famous Catholic blogger. Okay, so famous bloggers know of me (like Welborn, Ono, some of those HMS-ers, the Holy Whapping Kids), and some of them read this (okay, just Ono), so the average of my highly vaulted medioctrity would be semi-famous? I mean, I am no Puritas Corbin who got a personal thank you email from GRANT GALLICHO (and she doesn't even like Commonweal), and I am widely ignored by those whose affirmation I would desparately seek if I would actually seek it (paging John Allen). But I have readers, dammit. And I am working on the content to eliminate all references to Nabokov and Henry Miller to make things a little more Catholic around here. Yeah, right.
But most importantly, with really no coaxing on my part, I did get Mr. Success to admit that he is, in fact, a tool. I mean, I usually reserve that pet name for Tucker Carlson, but hey!

You also told me you were living in your car.

I am sorry we didn't get to speak before the Stahli brothers mixed it up, but I will make my Flickerwood reservation for June 26, 2010. See you there.

Well, I do live out of my car dor the past year. I left my house in Mississippi for 3 weeks last summer and keepforgetting to go back. We are in Raleigh all this week after the 4th to look for a house up here, someplace Randy thinks I'll actually stay put, kinda. THe reactions I got from some people when I tell them that I live in my car was too funny to stop.
