Spotty blogging for the next many days

We are going to be heading up to Clarion and maybe Kane to get out of the Pittsburgh heat (yeah, you read that correctly). Randy is supposed to be here this weekend, too. I won't have too much opportunity to blog, but it won't be a total blog black-out.

You know it's going to be hot when we get a heat advisory in southeastern Virginia...

You may find that it will be just as hot in Kane and Clarion-- at least it was when I was up there. Unless somebody you know up there has A/C, in which case you are definitely doing the right thing. :)

And for goodness' sakes, don't stay at the Kane View- 4 years into the 21st century, and there is no, I repeat, no A/C.

Callihans have A/C--part of the motivation to move our show up the road. When I told Randy this morning that the humidity was oppressive, he asked me how high it was, thinking he had me beat in Mississippi. NINETY PER CENT in Pittsburgh. So take that!
Tool---no one in Kane has A/C, save the grocery stores.

It is okay for old houses with lots of windows not to have air-conditioning, but not motels built in (apparently) the early 1960s with no cross-ventilation. Especially with global warming making it hot and muggy in the Icebox of Pennsylvania.
