Field trip
So this week while Myles and I are in Pittsburgh while my sister is having a FABULOUS time in St. Petersburg (just kidding..she is working her backside off), we are doing ANYTHING we can to spend a great deal of time in A/C. Monday morning we went to the Carnegie Library for Toddler Time. Yesterday it was Center for Creative Play.
Today we rode a city bus downtown to catch the T (Pittsburgh's rail system). Yes, that's right, I took my son on a field trip on public transportation. And that was the trip, really. My goal was to stay on public transportation as long as possible.
Montessori School? Pshaw. My son is getting HIS education :-)

All this time, I thought it was PAT or, maybe, the Light Rail.
I remember when the "T" opened 20 years ago- lots of free ballons when we got on at Station Square with Grandma on our way to Horne's. While it only had something like four stops (Steel, Wood, Iron?), I marvelled how sparkling clean it was (particularly against my frame of reference - the NYC Subway, the only other form of public transportation I had been on at that point)
Mr. Tool
And the downtown stations are still remarkably clean, comparatively speaking.
