Flickerfest 2005
Oh what a great time at the Flickerwood Winery this weekend. Among the wines that debuted for this weekend, I am completely in love with Marechal Foch (only because Leon Millot is completely sold out for who knows how long). It is a lovely Red Wine, and I recommend it. I can't endorse as going with everything, because I didn't try it with chocolate chip cookies (like I did LM), but it is throughly an enjoyable wine (okay I just about drank a bottle myself). Randy really enjoyed the Strawberry Rubarb desert wine.
Randy and I went with his daughter Eileen and her husband Rory. It was so great to get out there and see so many of our friends. Sonia and Bill Costanzo were there with their absolutely precious girls. Charlie and Megan Elia were there. It was so great to see them and just hang out and drink wine with them.
One great surprise was that Julie Zampogna Wehner was there with her husband Andrew. I guess it shouldn't be much of a surprise because Flickerfest is all hands on deck for the Zampogna family, but I hadn't seen Julie in like 7 years, so it was so cool that she was here. We drank some wine, got caught up, and found time to pose for this picture.
Flickerfest is such a great time. I can't say enough about how fun it is! Even Eileen and Rory, who didn't really know anyone there, had a great time. It is every year over Memorial Day Weekend, so make your plans now!!!!
