Dolphins!!!
So after all these years of coming down to the Outer Banks, I FINALLY got to see dolphins in the ocean. I just saw their backs and tails as a pair of them were swimming not far off the Kill Devil Hills shoreline, but i finally saw Dolphins. Okay, this pales against the experience my aunt Maureen had a few weeks back on our cousin Deborah's boat. They went out for a leisure ride in the Sound and saw families of dolphins.
So since I have a few minutes for blogging and emailing, I thought I would give some of y'all the update on where in the world is Ambrose going to live. Randy is driving to the Outer Banks from Mississippi tomorrow, spending the weekend here. Then on Monday we are going back over to Raleigh (the 3 of us Ambrose/Callihans) to start some house-rental searching. We have tentatively selected our focus as Garner, only because it is somewhat close to Raleigh and not too far from Dunn where Randy will eventually be working. WE are actually moving in anticipation of his formal transfer because our lease in Mississippi is up the beginning of August. Randy was thinking about Fayetteville, but I don't see that happening; I want to be closer to Raleigh so I have lots of opportunity to be rejected for Grad School (Duke, UNC, NC State, Wake).
So, while we wish we were moving back to Philly, or to Pittsburgh or even GREENSBURG, that just isn't in the cards for us right now.

Duke---it is the only major school in the area that has a Theology program. I can't get inot Divinity school there for a variety of reasons, but maybe their Liberal Arts School Theology department mught let me take some classes there...GEoffrey Wainwright teaches liturgy there and I would LOVE to take a class from him.
Of course...I'm not nearly smart enought to get in anywhere...
