And if you watched the Pirates Orioles game Monday night
The young boy upon whom the cameras were focused with one out when the Orioles' were at-bat in the 9th inning, the one in the flowered surfer shirt who was animatedly rejoicing (I mean jumping up and down and hugging folks and talking with his hands even) over catching a ball Jack Wilson (his favorite Pirate, by the way) threw into the stands---that was Crispian!
Kate heard about it from one of Crispian's schoolmates this morning. She told Kate that she saw Crispian on TV when she was watching the game. Luckily, the local Fox Sports replayed the game this afternoon, so we got to see it.
I downloaded the game, and the announcers said of him:
"There is a prized possession. That youngster's been quiet the whole game and got nothing but chatter going on now. [unintelligible] Big league baseball."
And if you saw it, you can see Crispian talking about how he now has two major league baseballs he caught at games. His lips are that easy to read.
