Winchester Thurston Spring Fling

Friday was Winchester Thurston's City Campus' Spring Fling. This was their spring carnival fundraiser. Of course, this being Winchester Thurston, it wasn't like any spring school carnival you have been to. There was the requisit duck pond game and a few other games of chance. However, there were also a few inflatable rides, like this enormous slide Crispian rode continuously for the last hour. Myles was techincally too little for the rides, but some of the moms that monitored them let him and some other little ones go in the one that for lack of knowing what it is really called was once called the Moon Walker when I was little before that phrase was synonomous with Michael Jackson (now doesn't that make me feel like a fogey?). You know, it ia a big inflatable playpen that kids jump around in? I realized when I got the files off the camera that I only got video of Myles in the ride and only one so-so picture of Crispian. Darn. But Myles was completely tickled to be able to get in that. He tried to jump on his feet, and when that was not completely successful he sat down and bounced on his backside, laughing nonstop.
It was a lot of fun, but since Myles and I only got there for the last hour and a half, we --okay just I really--had my fill very quickly of the over-sugared, under-supervised children. It was just as nice to get home as it was to be there :-).
