Insider Report Update---Ambrose, still not a boy

Back in February, I posted this original Insider Report. It appears I was masquerading in the Blogosphere as a boy and didn't even know it!
Whenever I comment on other people's blogs, my signature comes up Ambrose. Just Ambrose. I really don't mean to be gender ambiguous, or imply that I am a guy. Ambrose has been my nickname for so long I don't even think of it. Of course, it is because that is my last name, so it is a highly original nickname.
I am probably a bad product of a women's college with my almost minor in women's studies in that I really forget about the gender-identification thing. The other day on Open Book I posted a lengthy (one referred to it as Homeric) description of the season finale of Desperate Housewives. Of course a show like DH does not lend itself to executive summaries. So the same guy who called my post Homeric referred to me as a him, as Puritas Corbin made sure I was aware. I wanted to post:If you read my posts on DH in that thread, and you think I am a guy, you must think I am an old Queen. But instead I quietly said, Ambrose=>not a boy. And even confessed my real age, 28 --just kidding 32.

I once showed up for a job and the guy training me said, "dude! I thought you was a Japanese brutha!"

After a few years in blogsphere, you kind'a learn to not attach too much identity to names. I'm not sure what I thought about "Ambrose." I think I first thought, boy, but then I figured out, girl.

Oh, btw, many people have thought I was a girl. I get a lot of "shes."

This still makes me laugh. Ambrose went through that 'old queen' phase years ago.
