I post a lot here about my leisurely life, my unhurried, relatively unburdened life of being at home with Myles. I have so few obligations that I get to come and go as I please, including spending nearly a year now not living in my official residence in Jackson, Mississippi. I joke about my Volvo station wagon; I drag my son to all kinds of events to enrich his life. I try to keep up intellectually with my nephew at these same events.
So when I read posts like this at Corbin's blog, I just get so blue. I feel like I am enjoying life too much, that life is so easy for my son, when this is going on in Darfur. Corbin posts weekly in her blog about Darfur, as is her commitment to the Coalition. The children's drawings are just so gut wrenching--be careful when you follow the links. We have no words in the English language to explain this kind of tragedy.
