I'm surprised someone at Seton Hill didn't think of this first

Seton Hill, where I went to college, has recently been knighted a University by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This was because of their oustanding graduate programs, which include Marriage and Family Therapy, Instructional Design for Technologies Enhanced Learning, and, my favorite, Writing of Popular Fiction. Yes, you can get a Master's Degree in how to write paperback novels. Some of the most successful grads are under contract with Harlequin. I kid you not. And if you are questioning the value of the University designation in Pennsylvania, please note that recent Universities have been minted from Carlow, St. Francis, Beaver (which is now Arcadia), Holy Family, Immaculata, and Robert Morris. All the while, such lowly institutions as St. Vincent, Haverford, Swarthmore, Allegheny, Grove City, Chatham, Bryn Mawr, and Franklin and Marshall languish as simply colleges (some of them even only grant bachelor degrees!).
Anyway, I read this a few weeks ago on Modern Art Notes about a new grad program being offered in Art Criticism. Why didn't someone at Seton Hill think of this first? It is the type of program that would appeal to them--one that can be done on the cheap. Heck, if it is offered online maybe I'll look into it. Then I can blog with AUTHORITY.
