This may just be a "blonde moment", but I can't find anything under that link which would fall under your post headline...but I am interested in the story.
Yeah, I would have also called BS on them...but I can remember driving out to the California desert with my family to see the umbrellas when I was younger...I thought it was kooky then, and still do...but I would go again. It is fascinating what they do, it is like large scale BS...it's just the sheer enormity which impresses, and makes people want to go see.
