Weekend, part II

One of the things that we did this weekend at Corinne's was drive over to Lewisburg (home of Bucknell U if you have heard of it) to do the walk around the downtown thing. Lewisburg was holding its annual Ice Festival. It was basically one of those small-town civic events to promote shopping in town. There were ice sculptures all over the Main Street with some larger ones in a small park, with food venders, and small music events, and the like going on.
Most of you that read this probably experienced nasty cold temperatures last week that were thankfully followed by the downright balmy temperatures this weekend, give or take a day. Lewisburg also saw this. After the sub-frigid weather a week ago, their Ice Fest had to fall on the warmest weekend on record. Needless to say they should have renamed it Puddle Fest. One side of Main Street didn't get the warm afternoon sun, so most of the sculptures on that side of the street kept their definition pretty well. On the other side, however, you sometimes had to use your imagination to see what it was (that kinda looks like a flower).

Myles just wants to say hi

Caet informs us that ice is cold. Yes, she was saying, "This is cold." Myles of course kept touching the ice and gave me looks that said, what is up with this stuff?

This was supposed to be the centerpiece of all the sculptures, a big Heart for the Heart of Lewisburg.

Caet is telling Myles to forget about the ice and focus on the really fun stuff, the melting snow and mud.

This was our favorite of all the ice sculptures, a late entry I guess :-)
