Today is Steelers with Political Aspirations Day

Today Lynn Swann announced his official entry in the governor's race in Pennsylvania. The election isn't until next year, but hey, nothing like getting a leg up. He will be running as a Republican in what will probably be a crowded primary. Republicans in Pennsylvania can only agree on one thing--they don't like Ed Rendell who will likely run for re-election. It wasn't a complete surprise that Swann is running. He was constantly at President Bush's side during his Pittsburgh appearances and has been hinting at it for a while.
Dwayne Woodruff is also running for office, for Common Pleas Judge in Allegheny County. He is a Democrat, but may cross-file, common in the judge races.
Okay, can I start an exploratory committee for Bettis for President?
