This is the funniest show I've watched lately

As I mentioned before, I am something of an India-phile, so I absolutely could not resist checking out this programme (it is on the Beeb, you know) last season. I am so happy it is back again. If you haven't seen it, the basic premise is that Sanjeev, in his thirties and still living at home, tapes a chat show, from the TV studio his parents built for him in their backyard in North London. Of course, part of the arrangement is that Sanjeev's parents and his Ummi also get to be on the show. The comedy is somewhat scripted, but the guests are real and not scripted. The combination is funny and spontaneous. Last week one of their guests was the luscious Tom Jones. In part of the interview, they asked him about when he was selling vacuum cleaners before he was famous, which results in Sanjeev's father lamenting the potential loss of revenue with the bagless vacuum cleaners and his mother asking him to look at her Hoover because she thought it wasn't working properly. The whole time Ummi is hitting on him. Brilliant!
