I wonder how much of this is because they were originally slated to be marketed as a Christian Band

The Evanescence CD at Wal-Mart has no warning label or edits in direct violation of the Wal-Mart policy. I think this is interesting because with 20% of CD sales in this country coming from WalMart, every record company that plans on releasing a top-20 CD has to review the CD for "Wal-Mart issues." I wonder how the Evanescence CD slipped through the cracks--I wonder if it was because it was supposed to be marketed as a Christian CD?

Ok - so i must admit - I am a blog junkie. i LOVE reading them. i don't know why, but i do. i keep on saying I am going to start one, but i don't think i would enjoy writing one as much as i enjoy reading one. i say all of this to say that you have the same subject matter as another blogger that i read on a regular basis. i had to give you the link. this guy is really interesting. aaron and i hung out with he and his wife a few times when we lived in OKC. the most interesting fact about him is that he was put in prison for robbing a bank. the story that he tells is hilarious. anyway, when he got out of jail he became an evangelical minister. then he realized that he didn't really like what the church stood for and now he is still trying to figure things out. i love his posts - they are almost always thought provoking. so here it is

That is a cool blog, much cooler than mine. He actually has some interesting things to say, while I just like to babble. I will add him to the sidebar when I get my rear in gear.
Do you (or anyone for that matter) remember reading about a great purge of Evanescence CD's at like the Lifeway stores maybe two years ago?

oh please - i love your blog. it is very interesting!
i remember the cd pulling. but lifeway will pull cds for anything. they pulled a cd because a song had the word sperm in it - and the song was promoting abstinence. how crazy is that. they also refused to carry p.o.d. cd's because the cover with a butterfly on it was supposedly pornographic. which - i'm completely against pornography - but let's not call that cover pornography. here is a link to it: www.payableondeath.com it is on the right side of the screen.
