Can't get a stupid John Mayer song out of my head

Earworms, I think they are called.

I was in Rite Aid a couple times recently and on the Rite Aid network feed I keep hearing this song that has become SOOOOOO annoying to me. It's John Mayer (okay, Megan and RheaAnn can jump all over me for this) and it is like toothpicks being shoved in my ears.

"Fathers be good to your daughters....Daughters become lovers who turn into mothers, so mothers be good to your daughters, too."

Over and over and over.

I mean, what is this about, anyway? Moms and Dads, please be nice to the girl I want to mess around with? And that turning into mothers thing---does he mean that part of the process makes you not a lover? Okay, I am a perfect illustration of the difference between a mother and a lover, but still, that's not true for everyone. I mean, Heloooo, Rachel Hunter?

Over and over and over.

Admittedly I don't know a lot about this song. It could be his Luka, against child abuse. I mean, I can get behind that. I can't seem to think of any Pop song that celebrates child abuse, except maybe for some of the tracks on Marilyn Manson's Portrait of an American Family, but he was being ironic.
