What gave us all of Modern Art

Okay, I could be funny or erudite, or at least pretend either as is my habit. I could also be a total plebian and give you a, "Huh?" Regardless of what I think or you think, some group of 500 art-world folks have been polled to categorize early Modern art works according to their influence on the direction of art in recent history. The winner was Fountain by Marcel Duchamp. (There are some amazing Duchamp works at the Philadelphia Museum of Art as part of the Arensberg Collection, so if you go there please see them after you do the Rocky run up the steps). Regardless of what you think or know or even beleive you know about Modern Art, you will look at this piece, described frequently as a reclining urinal, and probably say, "of course." The difference will be in your intonation and punctuation.
