One of the last great mysteries of the 20th century

We know how Jimmy Hoffa died, and that we won't find him anywhere near the Meadowlands. I really really really want to know who Deep Throat was, and Ben Bradlee wouldn't even throw us a bone. "I won't tell you if I was surprised or not." What's up with that? Come on, just a little hint.
