Not quite "Da Turdy Point Buck"
In Pennsylvania deer season is upon us. The bars in small towns in Western Pennsylvania swelled over the weekend with guys from Pittsburgh and Youngstown, Sharon and Cleveland, all who barely kissed their wives good-bye on Thanksgiving to get themselves to their camps to prepare for Monday morning. At Mass on Sunday outside of Clarion, Fr. Joe distributed St. Hubert medals and after praying for everyone's safety reminded us about the antler restrictions. The Callihans have been successful so far: my mother-in-law tagged a buck in archery with a very clean ling shot (at 71 years old she still climbs the tree and hunts with bow and arrow), my brother-in-law also got a buck in archery, and on the first day of rifle my father-in-law tagged a buck. Of course, there are still a bunch of doe tags among them so they will keep going out there.
While my father-in-law Jim and stepson Devin were struggling with a 150-lb-ish seven-point, this 20-point was tagged in Westmoreland County.
And if your hunting season is not complete without some rousing tunes from Da Yoopers, you will need to get this CD. It does contain such essentials as "Second Week of Deer Camp" and "Da Turdy Point Buck." Saddly, this greatest-hits CD has omitted "I Wish I Could Fart Like My Dad."
Yeah, that's me. All about Class.
