Myles and the golf club
We are staying with Kate again for a yet-to-be-determined length of time. Myles is mroe fascinated with Crispian's toys than some of his own, of course, but he has become particularly attached to this one plastic golf club. He searches for it and clings to it, a golf club his best friend.
It's funny how he uses this club, too. He not only bangs on the floor and the furniture, but he has found it to have many uses. He loves to knock down block towers (who doesn't?). The golf club is particularly good for reducing these towers to scattered rubble, much more efficaciously than his own hands. Forbidden objects, like this computer and the stairs, are frequently poked at with the club. It is almost like his reasoning is that when he touches these things Mommy says no and pulls away, so if I use this, I'm not really touching it, right? He is most definitely thinking these things. You can see it in his eyes.
