Someday I will be fully recovered from working at VAC. Until then, I will point out all the weird things about Germany and specifically Hanau.
Today is the birthday of Jakob Grimm, born this day in Hanau in 1785.
Of course we have to thank/blame Jakob and his Bruder for recording all the sadistic stories German parents told their children. We in the U.S. have Disney to thank for sanitizing them so that we can all live happily ever after the end.
