"I just hope he has a DelHomme type of season" I said 10 weeks ago.

I should have aimed higher.
More like a Dan Marino type of season.

Or supremely unprecedented.
Superlatives fail me.
I hate it when they do that.

Anyway, Sporting News Cover Boy this week makes for a decent read.

Thanks so much to Corbin for telling me how to put in pictures. However, if she knew that I was going to use it to put in sports pictures rather than some of the beautiful religious images she has in her blog, I think she would have withheld the crucial information.

Well, if it had to be sports pictures, football is the best, I guess. :)

meggie here. on ebay, a 2xl #7 jersey is going for $150 right now. a mean joe greene jersey is going for $41. and a tommy maddox jersey is starting at $10, no bids yet.

i feel sorry for tommy. who'd want to go back to selling insurance??

Meggie--I wonder how it looks at the outlet store in Grove City. The day before I was there in August Charlie Batch was announced to be going IR for the year and his jersey was on the clearance rack.

I do hope you didn't jinx him, ambrose. A win's a win, and i'll take it, but he was the confused rookie he is supposed to be on sunday.

Dear Paul Sosa,
Only Sports Illustrated can truly jinx a player. I haven't seen the newstands lately but I think we are still safe. I am glad that Ben had some bad moments in this game. He needs to learn how to get the play off quicker in case his line breaks down, something he has had little experience with this season. It looked like Marvin and his D did a lot of homework going into this game.
