Howie Freakin Day
Last month my sister Megan and I went to see Howie Day and Nickel Creek. I am still high from that experience. The link will take you to the Howie Day setlist which was amazing. Nickel Creek was also so completely cool----they played of course the favorites (Lighthouse gave me chills) and then they also covered Beck's Where It's At. Then, Howie Joined them for an encore and they covered Radiohead's National Anthem. OMGoodness. You haven't heard anything until you've heard Radiohead jammed out on a mandolin through an effects device. Really.
Afterwards we hung around the tour bus and waited for autographs and pictures. This was during the world series so they sat on the bus and we waited until the game was over. Chris Thile kept poking his head out to tell us what inning and how many more pitches until he would come out. He led us through a rousing round of Take Me Out to the BallGame. Meggie took some pictures and if she ever gets them developed I'll try to post them here.

But just so you know, growing up I never thought I would be hanging around the bus of a bluegrass band. Motley Crue maybe, but never ever ever a bluegrass band.
