Glad to have you back, Senator McCain

Yea!!!! The real Senator McCain is back now that the election is over and he doesn't need to tread carefully. He was quoted in the New York Times.

"We've reached the bizarre point where we approve
hundreds of billions of
dollars of bills without anyone seeing them,"
Senator John McCain, Republican of
Arizona, said in an interview Tuesday.
"And then we're shocked - shocked! - that
a provision should sneak in which
is onerous."

My first reaction while reading that article was, "Gee, do you think somebody bought Robert Byrd a thesaurus for his 87th birthday?" He sounds like the kids I used to be in gifted class with in high school -- "Let's see how many $10 words I can squeeze into this sentence." :-)
