CS Monitor story on child soldiers in Africa

Everytime I see a news report on child soldiers in Africa and elsewhere, I am always so struck by the accompanying photo. Almost without fail, at least one child soldier in the picture is wearing a t-shirt or jersey that was probably donated in a church clothing drive. They say things like "Jefferson Street Middle School Phys Ed" or "St. Joe's Basketball." Like, this is what they are supposed to be doing, not carrying guns.
